Saturday Polls: Remain Calm Wamakko tells Sokoto residents

Sokoto State Governor, Alhaji Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has asked members of the public to remain calm and not to be threatened or intimidated, as the security agents in the state have guaranteed the safety of all persons in the state.
The Governor, who spoke on Friday, in a press broadcast at his office, where he assured the people of the state of safety, during Saturday’s Presidential election, according to him, effort has being put in place to check any possible security bridge in and around the state.
He urged the people to desist from rumour mongering, stressing that all is well and people should go and cast their votes for candidate of their choice.
He added that “It is your right to vote for the candidate of your choice without harassment or compulsion, so go and discharge your civic responsibility without making trouble on Saturday.
“The security agents have given their words when I met with them last night, that they would work for the safety of every member of the society, irrespective of your political affiliation, tribe or religion.
The governor however, concluded by praying for a successful and hitch-free election throughout the 23 local government areas of the state and beyond.
