Kaduna Polls: We Will Defile Any Curfew Order By Yero – El-rufai

The All Progressive Congress (APC) gubernatorial Candidate in the upcoming governorship election in Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-rufai has threatened that should the Kaduna state impose curfew on Kaduna he and his supporters will come all out and defile it.

Addressing a press conference in Kaduna, El-rufai revealed that according to an intelligent information at his disposal, there was plans by the state government to cause chaos and create a crises situation so that the election will hold under a curfew situation.

According to him “free movement is a right of the citizen giving by the constitution as such no body, no soldier will take that from us not even General Minimal.”

He alleged that the state government has purchased 1000 machetes for their thugs to machete people. To cause trouble in the state adding that “we are going to share that with the police, provide all the information to the director State Security Service to ensure that doesn’t happen.”

“We want everybody in Kaduna to know those that are inciting violence and creating trouble so that elections don’t take place, we want the elections to take place because we are confident that we will win but the other side (Government) are not that confident and they want to cause trouble.” El-rufai claimed.

He expressed worries over a statement credited to the former president Olusegun Obasanjo on government plans to hand over to the military should Jonathan lost the elections saying “this do not inspire confidence that president Jonathan government is committed to a credible elections. As regrettably demonstrated in Ekiti gate tape president Goodluck Jonathan’s PDP has no respect for the professionalism, dignity and integrity of the Nigerian people.”

“To anchor rigging plans on using the personnel and material assets of these services amounts to using the institutions that should protect and secure the country as wreckers. The lack of accountability for the Ekiti rigging fiasco, the absence of the redemptive possibility of remorse and the unwillingness to fully investigate and prosecute the key actors fill us with dread.” He said.

El-rufai however advised the security agencies to ignore orders to violate the liberty and lives of political opponents. They all swore an oath to defend Nigeria. This is one moment to show  they respect the obligations of that oath. It is time to stand up for Nigeria.
