US Election: Donald Trump Commits Political Suicide – UK Independent

Donald Trump has indicated he could reject the result of the US election.

Speaking during the final televised debate, Mr Trump, who has previously said the election has been rigged against him, raised the possibility he could launch a challenge to the results.

Asked directly if he would accept the results, Mr Trump said: “I will look at it at the time, what I’ve seen is so bad.”

Mr Trump blamed the media and voter fraud before turning his fire on Hillary Clinton.

He said: “The media is so bad… the pile-on is so amazing, they’ve poisoned the minds of the voters, but unfortunately for them the voters have seen through them.“

He added that “millions” of people are registered to vote in the US who “shouldn’t be”.

Speaking about Ms Clinton’s email controversy, he added: “Hillary should not be allowed to run. Just in that sense it’s rigged. She should not be allowed to run given what she did.”

Pressed again if he would accept the results in November, Mr Trump replied: “I’ll tell you at the time. I’ll keep you in suspense.”

Ms Clinton described Mr Trump’s comments as “horrifying”.

“Let’s be clear about what he is saying and what that means,” she said.

“He is denigrating, he is talking down our democracy and I for one am appalled that someone who is the nominee for one of our two major parties would take that position.”

Ms Clinton accused Mr Trump of “always” saying things are rigged against him, including the Iowa primaries, various lawsuits and the TV awards The Emmys.

“Should have got that,” Mr Trump interjected.

“It just shows you’re not up to doing the job,” Ms Clinton replied.
