Shehu Sani Threatens to Sue APC Over Alleged Suspension

Senator Shehu Sani has threatened legal action against the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kaduna Chapter over his purported suspension by the party as reported in the media.

A faction of the party had written a letter of invitation to the Senator on Wednesday last week to appear before a disciplinary committee  within 7 Days over what it termed “Anti Party Stand”.

Speaking to journalists at a press conference in Kaduna, Hon. Rabiu Khaleed, Senior Legislative Assistant and Director General, Shehu Sani Campaign Organisation, issued a warning to the APC faction led by Shuaibu Idris as the acting Chairman, that if it refused to retract its step on it planned suspension, the Senator will be forced to sue him before the court.

He said the party faction  has defamed Shehu Sani by claiming ‎that he is involved in anti-party activities.

According to him, “what they call anti-party are his criticism of the government’s anti people policies and programmes which is obvious to everyone in the state.”

Hon. Rabiu added “From now till 2019, Senator Shehu Sani will continue to challenge any of El-Rufai’s policy suspected or adjudged to be anti masses.”

He vowed that the senator will not honour any invitation from the purported group because he does not recognised it or know the person that signed the letter as the acting chairman of the party in the state even the office address used in the said letter.

“If the address of the party office in Kaduna he knew has been changed, Senator Shehu Sani would have been informed, in the same vein if an acting chairman was appointed, he should have been notified”. Rabiu insisted.

He reaffirmed the Senator’s position on the current place of the acclaimed party chairman and secretary in the state that they are mere appendage of government house, again accused the governor of sponsoring the said suspension against the senator out of fear of his overwhelming popularity and performance.
