Senator Shehu Sani, Donates 25 % Of Salary To IDPs, Adopts Children.

Senator Shehu Sani representing Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone has donated 25% of his annual salary to women and children displaced by Boko Haram insurgents.
He also paid house rent for the internally displaced persons numbering over 100 from Borno,Adamawa and Yobe states who are taking refuge at Badarawa in Kaduna metropolis.
Addressing the beneficiaries during a sympathy visit to an IDP camp in Badarawa, Kaduna on Sunday, Senator Sani said he was highly disturbed about the plight of the IDPs who are mostly widows and children.
While emphasizing that the country had enough to make life meaningful for the IDPs,he said Leaders are bound to give both financial and moral support to victims of the Insurgency.
“I am very much disturbed that the IDPs who are unfortunate victims of insurgency are not properly catered for”.
Senator Sani said he expected that government at all levels and the well to do individuals in the society should consider the plight of the Boko Haram victims to better their lots.
As for him, the Senator said, he adopted all the affected children of the displaced persons taking refuge at Badarawa with a promise to sponsor their education.
The Lawmaker directed their Leader to open a Bank Account on behalf of the IDPs to enable him deposit the fund for their up keep.
Responding on behalf of the victims ,the Leader,Hajiya Ai’sha Gamboru Ngala thanked the Senator for his kind gesture and promised to make judicious use of the money.
