Rivers rerun: INEC releases more results


The Independent National Electoral Commission on Tuesday released more results of the bloody rerun elections in Rivers State.

This was contained in a statement by INEC.
The statement was signed by the Rivers State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Aniedi Ikoiwak.
It showed that at the federal constituency level, the Peoples Democratic Party won Port Harcourt Constituency 1, Port Harcourt Constituency 2, Obio/Akpor and Abua Odua and Ahoada East.

For the state constituencies, PDP won Port Harcourt Constituency II, Ahoada East I, Ahoada East II, Akuku Toru I, Emohua, Obio/Akpor I, Obio/Akpor II, ONELGA I and Omuma.

The All Progressives Congress won Akuku Toru II, with the PDP candidate, Tonye Alalibo, disqualified.

The APC also won Opobo, Nkoro State Constituency thus making a total of two so far captured by the party.

Ikoiwak said in the statement that INEC was investigating the rerun elections in Degema State Constituency.
