A Non Governmental Organization (NGO), All Children Charity International Foundation (ACCIF) on Monday donated food items to destitutes on Kano road, Kaduna in honour of their late founder, Barr. Ranti Daudu.
The items donation was in commemoration of the 2019 World Humanitarian Day, which the organization have also adopted as a memorial day to immortalize the late founder, who lived all her life helping other people especially the vulnerable people living with disability.
For many years now ACCIF, have been a passionate voice in all aspects of persons living with disabilities through better education, sustainable economic development gainful employment and social protection for their special circumstances.
In his remarks at the destitute’s village, Team Lead of ACCIF, Barr. Paul Daudu, said the visit to the village was part of activities to round up a series of events held to remember his mother who is the founder of the NGO.
“The idea was also to remember some of her policies and to also engage the community around us. It reminds us that in this very wicked world, in this capitalist world where everybody is out for profit, in this world where government forget their people, it reminds us that we don’t need to wait for government or big company to do things.
“We can help our fellow man as little as we can, if everybody adopts that stands today and everyday, life will be better. Today is just a marker, humanitarian day is a day that should be celebrated everyday.
“And we have met with the elders here and we have made our presentation to them the way my mother used to do it.
“We are using this medium to also appeal to other well meaning citizens, that there are other places like this around, let everybody try and do their own part, I know is not easy, I know the economy is not good but there is always somebody who is in one need that you have, that is the essence of humanitarianism.” He explained.
