Barely twenty four  after the suspension of the Senator representing Kaduna ‎Central, at the Upper chamber, Senator Shehu Sani by the All ‎Progressives Congress, APC Kaduna State,  another round of crisis may have stepped in over the leadership of the party in the state.

One Alhaji Danladi Wada ‎has declared himself as the substantive State Deputy Chairman of the ‎party saying, whoever is parading himself as such is an impostor.

Alhaji Wada stated this in a press statement signed by him and made ‎available to the media in Kaduna yesterday.

According to the ‎statement, he said sometimes in June 2014 he contested along other ‎party members after necessary screening and payment of forms as ‎stipulated by the party guidelines and roles for the office of the ‎state deputy chairman, he was elected  to the same position which make ‎him member, State Chapter of Executive committee of the party.

Alhaji Wada further stated sequence to his election as state deputy ‎chairman, he and others on the said day were presented certificates of ‎return by the returning officer, Col. Abdullahi (rtd).

“Due to our political differences in the party, I was not allowed to ‎operate or perform my duties as a member of the State Exco of APC, ‎instead, one Shu’aibu Idris who to the best of my knowledge never ‎participated in the said election, has been imposed on the party as ‎the deputy chairman.

“It is legal and logical in accordance to the party constitution  that ‎I assume the position of Acting Chairman of the party as the ‎substantive chairman have resign and contest along with El-Rufai as ‎his deputy.

“It is at this juncture I want to draw your attention to a purported ‎claim by Alhaji Shu’aibu idris parading himself as the deputy chairman ‎is illegal, and further more he should desist from doing such.

“Shu’aibu Idris though imposed as the acting chairman, yet he could ‎not have access to the financial transactions on the party.  He did ‎not sign cheques of the party.  We are hereby calling on Sterling Bank ‎of which the party operates to stop any transaction on behalf of the ‎party by these fictitious and purported elements.

“This impunity must stop in APC Kaduna state and allow legitimate ‎elected officials should be allowed to operate their statutory ‎functions as the state executives of the APC,” the statement reads.

Alhaji Wada further added that all the claims made by him can be ‎verify from the National Secretariat of APC or INEC office in other to ‎ascertain who won the elections, and whose suppose to be the state ‎acting chairman.  He also call on party faithful and stakeholders to ‎verify from the Sterling Bank who signs APC cheques in Kaduna state to ‎know that the act being perpetrated is a gross violation of the party ‎constitution.

In his word: “What we are having today as APC State Exco is a ‎Kangaroo, a rubber stamp and also an appendage of the state ‎government.”
