More Troubles For Kaduna APC, as Deputy Chair Declared Invalid

Barely twenty four after the suspension of the Senator representing Kaduna Central, at the Upper chamber, Senator Shehu Sani by the All Progressives Congress, APC Kaduna State, another round of crisis may have stepped in over the leadership of the party in the state.
One Alhaji Danladi Wada has declared himself as the substantive State Deputy Chairman of the party saying, whoever is parading himself as such is an impostor.
Alhaji Wada stated this in a press statement signed by him and made available to the media in Kaduna yesterday.
According to the statement, he said sometimes in June 2014 he contested along other party members after necessary screening and payment of forms as stipulated by the party guidelines and roles for the office of the state deputy chairman, he was elected to the same position which make him member, State Chapter of Executive committee of the party.
Alhaji Wada further stated sequence to his election as state deputy chairman, he and others on the said day were presented certificates of return by the returning officer, Col. Abdullahi (rtd).
“Due to our political differences in the party, I was not allowed to operate or perform my duties as a member of the State Exco of APC, instead, one Shu’aibu Idris who to the best of my knowledge never participated in the said election, has been imposed on the party as the deputy chairman.
“It is legal and logical in accordance to the party constitution that I assume the position of Acting Chairman of the party as the substantive chairman have resign and contest along with El-Rufai as his deputy.
“It is at this juncture I want to draw your attention to a purported claim by Alhaji Shu’aibu idris parading himself as the deputy chairman is illegal, and further more he should desist from doing such.
“Shu’aibu Idris though imposed as the acting chairman, yet he could not have access to the financial transactions on the party. He did not sign cheques of the party. We are hereby calling on Sterling Bank of which the party operates to stop any transaction on behalf of the party by these fictitious and purported elements.
“This impunity must stop in APC Kaduna state and allow legitimate elected officials should be allowed to operate their statutory functions as the state executives of the APC,” the statement reads.
Alhaji Wada further added that all the claims made by him can be verify from the National Secretariat of APC or INEC office in other to ascertain who won the elections, and whose suppose to be the state acting chairman. He also call on party faithful and stakeholders to verify from the Sterling Bank who signs APC cheques in Kaduna state to know that the act being perpetrated is a gross violation of the party constitution.
In his word: “What we are having today as APC State Exco is a Kangaroo, a rubber stamp and also an appendage of the state government.”
