Man 60, Stabs Daughter to Death
A 60-year old man has allegedly stabbed his daughter to death at Osikwu Village, Awgbu, Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The tragedy occured around 1.00am on Friday when the victim, Onyinye Aguluka was asleep.
Wife of the suspect, Mrs Georgina Aguluka, said trouble started when Onyinye ‘s father, Mr Cletus Aguluka came home in the night drunk and asked for his torch.
Mrs Aguluka said his children told him that they did not know where it was, and that he pretended that all was well only for him to wake up around 1.00am, went inside his room and brought out a matchet and stabbed his daughter to death.
She said it all started when her husband took to drinking, Tribune online reports.
Confirming the incident, the immediate younger brother of the man, Mr Sabastine Aguluka said that his brother had been molesting people, especially members of his family, including himself.
The brothers of the deceased who are twins, Sochima and Chidera Aguluka said that they sensed trouble when they ran out of the house midnight because their father always looked for excuses to molest them.
However, the father of the deceased ran away from the house through a window at the back of his house on spotting the vigilante group who drove inside his house with his daughter’s corpse amidst cries and shouts from the villagers.
