Kogi: New Deputy Governor, Achuba is an Igbo Man

The newly inaugurated deputy governor of Kogi state Simon Achuba is an Igbo man according to report by NewTelegraph.
Achuba is said to be originally from Aguleri in Anambra State, but was born in Kogi State.
Simeon Achuba, was on Tuesday sworn in as the deputy governor of Kogi State.
Report has it that as soon as he was sworn in, people of Aguleri went on wide jubilation celibrating one of their own who has excelled in politics in the Northern part of the country.
Achuba defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) last year and was a deputy speaker of the state house of assembly.
He was nominated by Governor Yahaya Bello to replace Mr. James Faleke, who declined to run with Bello after the APC governorship candidate, Alhaji Abubakar Audu, died before the governorship election could be concluded.
The party picked Bello as its candidate and he went on to win the rescheduled poll. Faleke instead went to court to challenge the party’s decision.
