Kaduna State Government has revealed that the work is already in an advanced stage for the installation of CCTV cameras across the state and the procurement of Unmanned Ariel Vehicle also known as drones.

Speaking on the success of the Governor Nasir El-Rufai administration in the last one year, the Coordinator of Operation Yaki, Yakubu Yusufu Soja said the drones is been supported by the training of operatives to man the equipment in order to provide citywide and statewide surveillance.

He said, “plans are underway by the state government to provide modern crime detecting devices and more operation vehicles to the joint outfit in order to stand the test of time in withstanding the security challenges in terms of intelligence gathering, pin down and surveillance throughout the state and as part of efforts to create jobs and business opportunity in the state.
“It is hoped that if this tempo is sustained the rate of crime and criminality would be reduced to the barest minimum in the state , in order to pave way for the development agenda of this administration.”

According to him, not less than 59 Kidnappers have been arrested with some undergoing trial.

This is followed by the clearance operation along Birnin Gwari road, Abuja Kaduna road, which he said are now safe unlike before now that it was a travellers nightmare.

“We have taken care of the areas that normally was a source of concern for the people. Even the police could not access some areas in Kaduna before now.

The state is safe and this is due to our Patrols and stop and search operations in the state.

Soja then urge residents to stop using religion and politicizing every issue in the state as it will not help to move the state forward.
