INEC Registers 537,874 Fresh Voters in Kaduna State

Following the conclusion of the continue voters registration by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the commission said on Saturday that it has fresh registration of a total of 537,874 voters in Kaduna State.
Addressing Press Newsmen on the success of of the exercise, Kaduna State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Abdullahi Kaugama, added that more more men were registered this time more than women.

According to him the number consist of, “302,342 male and 235,532 female. Collected PVCs: 52,507, uncollected PVCs: 269,787. Corrections: 29,179, defaced: 4,018, lost: 17,298, yet to be printed: 9,622 (up to 2017), Inter-state transfer: 8,239 (From other states to Kaduna), Intra- state transfer: 19,434 (within the state).

“The Commission wishes to inform the public that the ongoing collection of PVCs will not end with the CVR exercise. Collection of PVCs will continue until a week before the general elections in 2019.
“With the conclusion of the CVR exercise, the public is expected to come for the display, hearing of claims and objections from Tuesday 4th to Saturday Sept, 2018 at our LGA offices.

“Let me seize this opportunity to call on all those yet to collect their PVCs to do so at our LGA offices which will remain open as always, while those who registered, got transferred, lost, or whose PVCs are yet to be printed etc to be rest assured of getting their PVCs before the general elections.
“While assuring the public of our commitmer and credible election in 2019, God willing, I would like to once again thank the good people of Kaduna State for their continued cooperation and understanding.”
