Fire: Governor Zulum to Relocate Maiduguri GSM Market, Donates 50 Million Naira to Victims
The Governor announced the donation when he visited the market this evening after returning from his official trip to Saudi Arabia. He sympathizes with the victims and prayed Allah to avert future occurrence.
“May Almighty Allah in his infinite mercy averts future occurrence; I wish to express my appreciation to the fire service, the Nigerian Police and all other paramilitary that have worked tirelessly to curtail the fire outbreak. I am hereby announcing the sum of fifty million (50M) Naira support to the victims.”
Governor Zulum after going round the market to see the damages while addressing the massive crowd of marketers gathered to receive him announced his administration plans to relocate the GSM market to its permanent site.
“But most importantly we have to understand that this place is too congested, immediately Government would look into the possibility of relocating you to the permanent site.”
The Governor also visited the resident of the member representing Jere at the lower chamber of the national assembly to condole him over the demise of his maternal Aunt Hajjiya Gambo.
