Elections: APC Caution youths against electoral
violence

By Osei Peters

As the nation prepares to go
to the polls on Saturday for the 2015
Presidential and National Assembly
elections, youths in Edo State have been
charged not to allow themselves to be used
by desperate politicians to perpetrate
violence during and after the polls.

The charge was given in Benin City by the Edo State Youth Leader of
the All Progressives Congress, Comrade
Osakpamwan Eriyo (aka No molest) while
exchanging views with newsmen.

Comrade Osakpamwan stated that there
was a desperation on the part of the
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to continue
to foist itself in government at the federal
level against the overwhelming demand for
change by Nigerians.

The Edo APC youth Leader stated the 2015
general elections would mark a turning in
Nigeria’s political evolution as the
Independent National Electoral Commission
(INEC) has given indication to organise free,
fair and credible elections.

He called on youths in the state not to be
hoodwinked by the antics of desperate
politicians with monetary inducement to
foment trouble at the polls.
Comrade Osakpamwan noted that All
Progressives Congress was at the threshold
of victory at polls, adding Nigerians are
yearning for change which the party
symbolises.

He appealed to the electorate to look
beyond monetary inducement and vote
wisely for the APC presidential flagbearer,
Gen. Muhammadu Buhari and all the
party’s candidates across Edo State.

“My advice is that our youths in Edo State
should not allow desperate politicians to
use them to cause trouble at the polls.
“I am also appealing to the electorate in Edo
State to reciprocate the good work which
the Comrade governor has done for the
state in the past six years by voting
massively for the APC in this election”,
Comrade Eriyo stated
