el-Rufai Casts His Vote After Queueing 4hrs

Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai, has cast his vote after staying on the queue for over four hours.

el-Rufai, who arrived his polling unit, 024, Ugwan Sarki Ward, Kaduna North, at about 9:19 am, finally voted by 1:47 PM.

The Governor, had earlier refused to jump queue even when the voters want him to move straight to the polling booth.

Addressing newsmen shortly after casting his vote, el-Rufai, commended the people for their patience, despite earlier disappoint experience by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), for late arrival of voting materials to various polling centres and malfunctioning of card readers in the state.

“The people has been patient even when the card reader was not working they didn’t go home and people kept trooping in. This is very encouraging and I want to commend our people for their resilience and their commitment to exercise their civic right. He said.

Earlier, his Political Adviser, Mallam Uba Sani, had earlier casted his vote in his Polling unit 041 Kawo Ward, Kaduna North.
Uba, Commended the process and urged the people to remain calm and conduct themselves in an orderly manner.
