EDHA receives bill seeking
amendment to science, tech varsity

The Edo State House of
Assembly has received an Executive bill for
an amendment to the law establishing the
Edo State University of Science and
Technology, Uzairue.
The bill was conveyed with a letter dated
March 17, 2015 and signed by, Professor
Julius Ihonvbere, Secretary to the State
Government which was read on the floor of
parliament during yesterday’s plenary
session by the Deputy Clerk of the House.
The House standing committee on Rules,
Business and Government House was
however mandated to schedule the bill for
Publication and subsequently first reading.

Also, yesterday, the bill for a Law on
Criminal Justice administration in Edo State
was given its first reading on the floor of
parliament.

Meanwhile, A&K construction company, the
contractor handling the construction of 200
bed space at the Central Hospital, Benin City
has been directed to appear before the
members of the House standing committee
on Lands and Survey on March 23, 2015 at
the old Legislative building.
