APC is empty barrel-PDP women

Women wing of ruling People Democratic Party (PDP), Kaduna state chapter, has described the activities of opposition All Progressives Congress (APC), in recent times has mere noise making, saying APC was an empty barrel.

Former PDP Women Leader, North-west and a member of newly constituted 35-woman Goodluck/Sambo campaign committee, Mrs Laitu Danladi, made the statement yesterday in Kaduna.

According to her, apart from numerous achievements of PDP administration both at the federal and state level, it remain the only political party that has put women in key positions with a lot of result for the people to see, adding that to whom much is given, much is expected.

She said, “The opposition just making noise. They are empty barrel making loudest noise to threatened us and we cannot be threatened because we know they are empty and are threatening to take what we have, which is not possible.”

Earlier, Director General of the Campaign Organization, Kaduna state chapter, Alhaji Husaini Jallo, while inaugurating the committee, was optimistic that with machinery put in place, his party would come out victorious in February polls.

Jallo charged the women to mobilise Kaduna women to turnout enmasse as President Goodluck Jonathan campaign visits Kaduna on Saturday 31st January 2015.

He said, “I expect at leat 2,000 women from each ward to come out as President Jonathan campaign team visit us, we must show  that Kaduna is for the PDP, because here is the home state of the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigerian Arch. Mohammed Namadi Sambo.

Stressing further he urged the Committee members not to limit their campaign to that of the Presidential alone, but to campaign for all the PDP candidates vying for various elective posts.

Responding, the leader of the Committee, Madam Nah Gambo, however promised to work hard for the success of President Goodluck Jonathan in the general elections as well as all the candidates of the  ruling party vying for various positions.
