The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State, Usman Shehu Bawa, popularly known as ABG, has mourned three party members who died in a motor accident while returning home after attending a meeting in Kaduna.
The victims were identified as Caleb Ishaya Alot, Secretary of the PDP in Jema’a Local Government Area; Mercy Achi, Women Leader of Wise Ward; and Charity Bahago, a member of the party in the same ward.
ABG, in a statement issued on Thursday by his spokesperson, Yusuf Idris, described their deaths as a painful loss to their immediate families, the people of Jema’a Local Government Area and the entire PDP family in Kaduna State.

The governorship candidate expressed deep sorrow over the incident and extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, praying that God would grant them the strength to bear the loss.
In honour of the deceased, ABG announced the suspension of all activities relating to his governorship campaign.
The suspended activities include the inauguration of his campaign council, the opening of his campaign office and other related events scheduled for Saturday.
The statement said the activities had been postponed indefinitely.
ABG also regretted the inconvenience the suspension might cause guests and supporters who had been invited from within and outside the state to attend the events.
He further prayed for the speedy recovery of those who sustained injuries in the accident.
