Zulum, Buni Meet World Bank Director Ahead of Midterm MCRP Review
Borno Governor Babagana Umara Zulum alongside his colleague the Governor of Yobe State Mai Mala Buni on Sunday visited the world bank complex in Abuja during which they met the bank’s new Country director in Nigeria, Mr Shubham Chaudhuri.
The Governor’s held meeting with the director and some key officials of the bank behind closed door. Discussions at the meeting were preparatory to forthcoming midterm review of Multi Sectoral Crisis Response Projects MCRPs being supported by the bank in the northeast. The Governor’s identified areas peculiar to Borno and Yobe which they expect to be part of the agenda during the review.
The MCRPs aimed at supporting the Nigerian Government towards rehabilitating and improving critical service delivery infrastructures, improve the livelihood Opportunities of conflict and displacement affected communities, and strengthen social cohesion in the northeast region.
