Zamfara: Governor Lawal’s critic attacked in Jos

A critic of Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State, Sani Makari, along with his two sons were early this morning attacked and wounded by some yet-to-be identified persons.
The attackers who according to an eye witness was shot with a gun by one of the attackers, narrowly escaped the bullet which brushed one of his sons in the head.
Makari, was the chairman, Zamfara State Censorship Board during the immediate past administration of Governor Bello Matawalle.
Some yet-to-be identified persons have this morning attacked and wounded an addent supporter of former governor of Zamfara state, Dr. Bello Muhammad, Matawallen Maradun, Sani Nasiru Makari, along with his two children in Jos, Plateau state capital.
The witnesses also disclosed that one of Sani’s daughters was also stabbed with a sharp knife by one of the attackers when she held him crying and shouting at him to leave her father alone
“When he was unable to shoot his victim, the attacker then used a sharp knife to stab him”.
Another eye-witnesses said the attackers came to the residence of the victim in a black Mercedes Benz; broke the gate and forced themselves into the House and started shooting sporadically.
The victims, Sani, and his two children are currently in a nearby health facility receiving treatment.
This is the second time the victim was attacked by unidentified gun men.
