Security, Empowerment Education top Kaduna Labour Guber Candidate’s Priority

Labour Party (LP), 2023 gubernatorial candidate in Kaduna, Dr. Jonathan Asake on Friday in unveiled his plans to put the Kaduna on the right track if elected governor of the state.

Top in his priorities is Security, quality and affordable Education, Youths and Women empowerment, Agriculture, Economic development among others.

Dr. Asake, who disclosed this at a Media Parley organized by the Kaduna Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), said his main focus is security and wellbeing of the Kaduna People.

According to him, insecurity is partly response for the high rate of out of school children and that most farmers can no longer access their which is already impacting food security in the state.

“I know what insecurity can cause to a people, today many farm lands have been abandoned. If farmers can no longer go to farm, it means there would be famine, which portends serious threat to National Security and National Development.

“Kidnappers have taken over the farm lands, most business have left kaduna and investors are living and other are afraid to come. We are willing to stop that. When insecurity is fixed, 50% of Kaduna problem is fixed”.

He noted that the greatest casualties of bad economy are the youths and women, so empowering them is paramount, as his administration will take the issue of economic development very serious.

“We will empower our women and youths by providing them with special packages to alleviate their suffering. We will also ensure that our economic and Infrastructural development is all inclusive, no part of the state will be left behind.

“Inclusive education and infrastructural development is also one of our agenda, leaders are only trustees to the resources in every part the state, and the people in that area must enjoy the resources found in their land more than any one else, if we are giving the opportunity we will utilize the endowed resources to develop each and every local government with social amenities and infrastructural development”. He added.
