I wish to felicitate with entire Muslim, Umma all over the world and Nigeria in particular on the EID FITRI celebration which comes up today all over the world. It is very important to note that this celebration is different in many forms as it falls on a Friday which is very rare in the Islamic Calendar. Today all over the World Muslims will pray for peace to reign across the World and we should also support them to pray for our Nation to move forward.
I want to use this opportunity to thank all our leaders for their commitment to the Unity of this country and pray to Allah to continue to guide us always.
It has become necessary to mention some of our Leaders who have helped in no small measure to keep the Nation together such as the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Dr. Sa’ad Abubakar, Obas, Emirs and Chiefs for their fatherly roles.
At this juncture, I want to appeal to all Nigerians to cooperate and pray for the current administration at the centre and the states in order for all of us to benefit from democracy dividends. Let me also thank all the security agencies in the country and all other stakeholders in the Nation’s project for their loyalty to the government and the people.
Finally, I wish to thank all the Yoruba people in the whole of the Northern States and Abuja for the support and prayer for peaceful co-existence of all tribes in the country.
I wish all Muslims all over the World a happy celebration and many happy returns.
