The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday joined Muslim Faithfuls across the country in rejoicing over the beginning of the Holy Month of Ramadan in which the Holy Qur’an revealed as a blessing and mercy to all mankind
The party in a statement issued by its National Secretary, Mai Mala Buni on behalf of the Party, stated that ” religious leaders were enjoined to always promote religious harmony, tolerance and peaceful co-existence between and among various religious affiliations. He also enjoined Muslim faithfuls to rededicate themselves to the worship of God and service to humanity.
The party secretary also said “As Muslims commence the annual mandatory Ramadan fast, Mai Mala Buni also urged Muslim faithfuls to use the period of this year’s Holy Month of Ramadan to pray for the peace, development and prosperity of the country.
Buni assured Nigerians that the implementation of palliative measures and social safety nets contained in the 2016 National Budget will ease the economic hardships in the country.
“As the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration works assiduously to build a new solid foundation, credible image and pull the country out of the present hardships, the APC appeals for patience and cooperation from Nigerians. The APC calls on Nigerians to pray and support the administration as it continues to develop and implement socio-development initiatives for the good of the country.”
