Presidential Election: What happened is Beyond us – Kaduna PDP. Congratulates Buhari, Jonathan

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna said what happened in the last presidential election was something they can not explain.

Addressing the press after a stakeholders meeting of the party the PDP state chairman Abubakar Haruna told Journalists that the event that led to the PDP losing the presidential election in the state was beyond their them.

Haruna however said that though they have accepted the outcome of the election but called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure that some of the flaws recorded should be dealt with before the April 11th poll.

He said that they convened the stakeholders meeting to discuss all their setbacks and prepare for the upcoming governorship election in the state.

“We lost the presidential election does not mean we have lost out in everything so we have decided to come together to re-access our position on the last election and see how we can we the next election. Leadership comes from God he has given us many time before and has decided to give to another.” Haruna said

Haruna expressed confidence that the PDP members are ready to cooperate and work together in ensuring that the party wins the governorship election, saying “as you all know our party is a winning party we have done before and now we are set to do it again, by this time next week we will all come here to celebrate the victory of our party.”

Also speaking, the Director General Yero/Bajoga Campaign organisation 2015 Hassan Hyet said “haven’t examine the presidential election as DG campaign I have come to a conclusion that the electoral body played a role of a player rather than that of a referee.”

He alleged that in some places the rules set by INEC was not followed, adding that “a free and fair election encompass so many things not just a declaration of result, it is common knowledge that there are issues of under aged voters which is against the law of the land; the card readers according to INEC where programmed to work from 8am to 1pm, the accreditation started late because the materials and officials didn’t arrival on time.”

The party however congratulates the president-elect Muhammadu Buhari on his victory and president Goodluck Jonathan for his statesmanship for conceding defeat even before INEC announced the result officially.
