By Chris. Suleiman, Abuja
As the activies of Pipeline vandals continued to throw the nation into darknes, the Buhari Media Support Group (BMSG) on Tuesday called on Nigerians to support President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration in its determination to rid the nation of pipeline vandals.
BMSG in a press statement jointly signed by the group’s Coordinator and Secretary, Mohammed Labbo and Cassidy Madueke respectively however noted that the activities of the vandals is a wicked economic sabotage that has led to power outages across the country with its attendant hardship on the entire nation.
“It is regrettable that despite the federal Government’s efforts at stabilizing power, some persons have continued to sabotage these efforts.
“The BMSG condemns in totality the unpatriotic activities of some persons who have taken it upon themselves to cause pain to all Nigerians by blowing up pipelines supplying gas to the power projects.
The group also urges all Nigerians to lend their support to President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration in the measures it is taking to safeguard Nigeria’s critical infrastructure including the oil and gas pipelines.
They called on the perpetrators of these heinous acts to desist henceforth and seek peaceful ways of addressing their grievances.
“We call for dialogue, rather than some persons resorting to damaging the economic life wire of the nation under any guise or pretense.
“The BMSG believes that further damage to the pipelines will lead to further degradation of the environment in the Niger Delta and appeals to the perpetrators to key into President Buhari’s ‘’change” agenda aimed at bringing development to all Nigerians.
