Polygamous Marriage Goes Sour As Three Wives Fight Over Sex With Hubby
HWANGE man’s polygamous marriage has gone sour with his three sex-starved wives at each other’s throats over who should spend more time with the him, a local court heard this week.
The three women are customarily married to the man but live separately in different suburbs of the town.
The identity of the man was not mentioned in court but it was revealed that he rotates visits to the three wives.
However, two of the women were dragged to court after they allegedly teamed up against the third wife, accusing her getting more time with their shared husband.
The first and third wives – identified as Regina Ngwenya and Nedy Sibanda respectively – were charged with physical abuse after allegedly assaulted second wife Sithembiso Ngwenya.
Sibanda, 19 of Number 22 Middleburg Railton and Ngwenya, of 42 F22 Lwendulu Village, pleaded not guilty to physical abuse when they appeared before Hwange magistrate Sharon Rosemani.
The magistrate remanded the pair out of custody to Monday for continuation of trial.

“She was the aggressor as she started assaulting me resulting in the fight,” said Sibanda.
Prosecuting, Lindiwe Maseko told how Sibanda and Ngwenya proceeded to Sithembiso’s place of residence and confronted her, accusing her of spending too much time with their husband at her home.
“On May 22 at 8PM Sibanda and Ngwenya teamed up and went to the other woman’s place of residence.
“The two demanded to see their husband to which the complainant told them he wasn’t around.”
The prosecutor said the two women insisted on entering the house to look for their husband.
An argument ensued when Sithembiso refused them entry, and the three women started fighting, the court was told.
“Sibanda and Ngwenya started punching the complainant with fists all over the body and she lost a front tooth in the process.
“She escaped and locked herself in the house,” said prosecutor Maseko.
Sibanda and Ngwenya allegedly proceeded to an open window where they started shouting at Sithembiso, drawing the attention of a neighbour who then restrained them.
The neighbour accompanied Sithembiso to make a report to the police, leading to the arrest of the two attackers.
