By Our Correspondent

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar on Monday aligned himself with Hajia Nana Khadijat’s stance, of making sure the upcoming gubernatorial election in Kogi state is violent free.

Atiku, stated that Kogi needs peaceful but swift change of power from Yahaya Bello to the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Engr Musa Wada.

Hajia Khadijat had called for a nonviolence conduct of the November 16 governorship polls in the state calling on the governor and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), not to subvert the will of Kogi people.

The PDP Presidential candidate in the 2019 election who spoke to our correspondent via Skype with Hajia Khadijat by his side reiterated Khadijat’s stance saying “Kogi workers deserved to be paid their dues at the end of each month.”

“The stories coming out of the state under Yahaya Bello, that have been confirmed by my political daughter is saddening to hear that workers hang themselves because the government is owing them for months.

“It is therefore right for me to call on all kogites to vote Engr. Musa in order to curb the plague of hunger, insecurity and underdevelopment.” He said.

He expressed sadness that Kogi citizens had to suffer because of misrule in the past four years.

The political heavyweight, showered encomiums on Khadijat, for supporting the PDP and Engr. Musa Wada of the PDP, stating that her place in history won’t be forgotten.

Hajia Nana Khadijat was an aspirant for Kogi state House of Representatives during the primary. She is also the coordinator of Kogi For Atiku.
