Super Eagles England-based stars, John Obi Mikel, Alex Iwobi, Odion Ighalo, Victor Moses and other invited foreign-based players invited for the Gabon 2017 African Nations Cup qualifier against the Pharaohs of Egypt have arrived at the Eagles camp to join their home-based counterparts in the final preparation for the game.

Speaking to The Guardian yesterday, the team’s media officer, Toyin Ibitoye, said the interim Super Eagles coach, Samson Siasia, has announced that the team will shift training to Kaduna tomorrow once all the invited players join the camp.

He revealed that Siasia is not worried by stories of injuries to some of the invited players, saying the foreign–based stars have pledged their commitment to the team’s cause.

Ibitoye also revealed that the Kaduna weather will not pose any treat to the Eagles, adding that the team would train two times daily to acclimatise with the Kaduna pitch and weather.

“The Eagles will leave Abuja for Kaduna on Tuesday. The foreign-based stars started arriving camp yesterday. They will start the final phase of training with their domestic counterparts on Tuesday.

“I can also assure you that the Kaduna weather will favour the Eagles. All the necessary arrangement for the Eagles coaches to assemble the best players for the game have been put in place. The players are in high spirit to beat Egypt,” he said.
