The newly elected lawmaker representing Orhionmwon East
Constituency I in the Edo State House of
Assembly, Mr. Nosayaba Okunbor, has
expressed gratitude to his people for their
massive support that precipitated his victory
in the just concluded State House of
Assembly elections held across the state,
just as he has promised a qualitative
representation devoid of sentiments to the
people.
Mr. Nosa Okunbor made his intention
known to The NIGERIAN OBSERVER,
weekend, in Benin City.
He posited that he could not have won the
election with landslide if not for the massive
support and commitments from the people
of his constituency.
He, however expressed gratitude to the APC
leaders, especially the Deputy Governor of
Edo State, Rt. Hon. Dr. Pius Egberanmwen
Odubu, who found him worthy of the
exalted position in the state and promised
not to breach the trust and confidence
reposed in him by building on the legacy of
his boss, the deputy governor, just as he
assured them of his total commitment to
ameliorating the sufferings of the people
through coordinated legislation that would
sustain the development strides of Comrade
Adams Oshiomhole and Rt. Hon. Pius
Odubu-led government in the state, while
he solicited the support of his constituents
to enable him diligently legislate a law that
would have positive change on them,
especially sponsoring bills that would
pursue a cause of good governance in the
constituency.
Hon. Okunbor, who flayed at the neglect
and decadence of infrastructures in the
constituency, opined that his main priorities
would be infrastructures and human capital
developments which are hallmarks of an
ideal democracy and advised the people of
his constituency, especially the youths to
eschew any acts capable of damaging their
integrity.
