Kaduna State Chapter of League of Veteran Journalists (LVJ) has congratulated Mallam Nasir El-Rufai on his victory at the polls as Governor of Kaduna State.
This was as the league commended the incumbent Governor Ramalan Yero for his magnanimity for conceding defeat even before the official declaration of result by INEC.
In a statement signed by its Secretary, Alhaji Tajudeen Tijjani Ajibade, the veteran journalists however urged the incoming administration to respond positively to the yearnings and aspirations of the people.
According to them, “we also salute the courage of the entire people of Kaduna State for their peaceful conduct before, during and after the elections which culminated into the free, fair and credible exercise in the state.
“We urge the incoming administration to respond positively to the people’s yearnings and aspirations, while we call on the people to give the new government full support and cooperation to make Kaduna State a better place.” veteran Journalists urged.
