Kaduna NUJ By-election: Former Chair, Fadason Heads Committee
The Kaduna Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ on Monday set up a credential committee headed by a former chairman, Andrew Fadason to conduct a by-election to fill the vacant position of the former Chairman, who was impeached recently.
The decision to conduct an election followed the impeachment of the former chairman,Garba Muhammad on the 8th September, 2016.
In a statement signed by the Secretary of the Council, Dauda Idris Doka on 19thDecember, 2016, after a SEC meeting reads:
“The credential committee to fill the vacant position of the Kaduna Council Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has been formed.
“The committee, which has Andrew Fadason as the Chairman and Salisu Ibrahim as Secretary. Other members are ;John Shiklam , Stella Bature and Hassan Abba.”
According to the statement , the Committeeembers are expected to complete their assignment of ensuring New Chairman emerges on or before 5thMach, 2017.
