Insecurity: Senator Urges MDAs to Engage Host Communities

Senator Representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Comrade Shehu Sani has enjoined all heads of Federal Ministries, Departments and Agencies in Kaduna to employ graduates within their host communities to curtail insecurity.
Addressing heads of federal MDAs during an interactive mmeeting titled “Partnering for Development”, Senator Sani emphasised that heads of MDAs must take seriously the issue of Corporate Social Responsibility as a portent factor that helps maintain cordial relationship between them and their host communities.
According to Sani , the problem of insecurity and youth restiveness to some reasonable extent can be addressed when members of host communities are engaged.
While identifying problems stalling smooth operations of federal institutions such as National Teachers Institute (NTI), Defence Industry Corporation (DICON), National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), National Board for a technical Education (NBTE) and others in the state, he however, promised to present them to the National Assembly and relevant authorities for appropriate action.
In their response, heads of the MDAs unanimously presented complains such as: lack of funds, cash remittance, revenue generation, failed amendments and amendment of enabling laws for effective operation as factors that has over the years hindered their smooth operation.
Sani said the essence of the interaction with heads of federal government institutions in the state is to know their problems and see how those identified could be addressed as soon as possible.
Addressing journalists shortly after the meeting , Sani insisted that all federal MDAs in the state must work in line with change agenda of President Muhammadu Buhari’s government.
