INEC Declares El -Rufai Winner Of Governorship Election

The All Progressives Congress, (APC)
candidate Mallam Nasir El
Rufai has been declared by the Independent National Electoral
Commission, (INEC) as the winner of Kaduna State gubernatorial election .He defeated the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidate and incumbent governor Mukthar Yero.
Declaring the result Sunday ,the returning
officer Prof Ja’af Kaura said El-Rufai polled
1,117,635 votes while Yero had
485,833 votes.
Meanwhile, Governor Yero had earlier conceded defeat by calling el Rufai at 3.00 pm today even before the winner was formally announced by INEC.
