The Kaduna State, Labour Party’s candidate, Hon Jonathan Asake, has assured the party’s supporters that he is fully in the race for the Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, urging them to come out en-masse to vote Labour across board.
Asake, who gave the assurance on Wednesday during a Town Hall Meeting organized by Think Tank of Quality Leadership and Good Governance in Kaduna, represented by his Running Mate, Bashir Aliyu, told his supporters not to be discouraged by the outcome of the presidential election which will soon turn out in their favour.
According to him, hope is not lost despite the disappointment by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), as the presidential candidate, Peter Obi, is already in the process of reclaiming his mandate.

“No amount of money can buy the sacrifice you did, and don’t be discouraged because we have another one ahead of us come Saturday, we defeated them before and we will do it again.
“Labour Party is quite prepared and ready to go into the election next Saturday, and we believe that despite the circumstances surrounding the presidential election, we will come out stronger and victorious.
“Labour Party is now the biggest party in Nigeria as you all know and our main support is the will of God and the efforts of the people, and still have our God and our people are still with us.” He said.
He warned INEC not to repeat what happened in the presidential election saying “am warning INEC not to repeat what they did, you have done it ones, don’t do it again, no body will take that again in this election. You were wrong in the last election, don’t do it again.”
Organizers of the event said the essence of the meeting was to intimate their followers on the need to be vigilant and ensures that INEC come to the polling units with the password that will enable them upload results from the polling units.
Daniel Ejembi, who spoke on behalf of the organizers, assured the public that Kaduna State will be transformed for better when labour Party is enthroned.
“We are urging the public that all passwords that will be brought to the polling units must be correct and accurate, to avoid rigging.
“The aim of this Think Tank, is fight injustice, bad governance, corrupt practices which is the mantra of our leader, Mr. Peter Obi, that is why we are calling all our supporters to come all out to vote Labour from top to bottom, to correct all the abnormalities. Ejembi said.
