Hon.Caleb Mgirimga Aba: The Epitome of Credibility
By Nicholas Dekera
For every assemblage of human beings as a family unit, kindred, organisation or geo-political entity – the pursuit and fulfilment of their collective interests and aspirations are derived principally from the quality of their leadership or management.
Resource endowments are one thing, but effective leadership remains the critical success factor for the development and progress of any entity.
The alternative is a nightmare of sorts, which members of the entity are compelled to live with at great costs.
The entire Benue State Local Governments will go to the polls to elect LG Chairmen that would steer their affairs. Guma local Government will not be left out. Guma Local Government is agrarian and one of the LGs that has earned Benue its acronym the “Food Basket of the nation”
By all standards Guma is economically viable in Benue State and politically the mother hen that have laid the Golden egg as the incumbent Governor Samuel Ortom is from the Local Government.
It is not enough for the people to look forward to better days ahead, but they should exercise their right to make an informed choice about the candidate that is equipped, competent and willing to make positive impact on their socio-economic and political well-being.
Comprehensively educated and groomed, he has over the years acquired competencies and exposure that have established him as an asset to Guma people.
Born on Monday 28th June, 1968, at Tse Iyorhon, Nzorov Council Ward of Guma Local Government Area of Benue state.
Went to NKST Primary School, Moor in Vandeikya Local Government, from 1977 to 1982.
Proceeded to Government Teachers’ College Vandeikya from 1982 to 1987.
Schooled at College of Education, Ankpa, from 1991 to 1993.
Studied at the Benue State University, Makurdi from 2001 to 2004 and bagged the BA Ed. English.
Worked as Class Teacher from 1988 to 2007 and voluntarily resigned to pursue hid political ambition. While teaching, he was appointed Head Teacher of several schools.
Aba was appointed Secretary, Guma L G. from 2006 to 2007 , and then Deputy Chairman, Guma L G from 2008 to 2010.
Many people are unaware of the significant roles Hon. Caleb Migirimga Abah played in the celebrated leadership of Governor Samuel Ortom in his first tenure. As Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Benue State on Project Monitoring from 2015 to 2019 the aforementioned epitome of credible service brought his seasoned experience to bear on many projects across the state which earned his boss the nod for 2019 job.
Aside from energising the Office to support the administration for project coherence and coordination, he is also acknowledged for his active involvement in several strategic task teams.
As the PDP Chairmanship flag bearer for Guma Local Government, the good people of the Local Government are fortunate to have a treasure of good leadership built upon the fear of God and Social justice. Honorable Caleb Migirimga Aba is no doubt the man who the cap fits for Guma 2020.
