Group Want Buhari to Appoint Amb. Jidda As SGF

Forum of Secretaries to Northern States Government has called on the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari to appoint the Secretary to Borno State Government, Amb. Baba Ahmed Jidda, as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
The Forum in a letter to the President-elect, signed by the Coordinator of the Forum and SSG to Niger State government, Saidu Ndako Idris Kpaki made the recommendation on Tuesday.
According to the letter, the recommendation was part of their contribution to support the in-coming administration to succeed in its quest to improve the lives of Nigerians.
“Amb. Jidda is a seasoned administrator and experienced politician,” the Forum said. “He has been Secretary to the Government of Borno State for the past 12 years. He is probably the longest serving person in that capacity in Nigeria today.
“We believe that a person with such an experience should not be allowed to waste, but be engaged to further contribute his quota to development of our dear country at the federal level, as it is the practice in advanced democracies.”
The Forum described Amb. Jidda as “a man of impeccable character, incorruptible and highly committed to the welfare of the people”, with a enormous experience in governance and politics, which would be a great asset to the in-coming government.
