Group Congratulates Acting IG

The Assembly of Benin
Aborigines, a socio-cultural organization
with headquarters in Benin City has sent a
congratulatory message to the Acting
Inspector General (IG) of Police, Mr.
Solomon Arase over his recent elevation.
The group in a statement made available to newsmen in
Benin City said the appointment has proven
that hard work, diligence and honesty do
not go unrewarded.
The statement was signed by Prince
Solomon Ebuwa, Prince Francis Omo-
Osunde Iyasere, Barrister Osamwonyi
Osagiede and Chief Edward Igbinidu,
Chairman, General Secretary, Media
Director and Vice Chairman respectively.
According to the group, Arase’s enviable
record of service and academic excellence
have shown that the elevation was long
over due, describing him as “a remarkable
man, a true officer and a gentleman in
every sence.”
While praying to God that the incoming
administration recognizes and values these
qualities, for which Arase have been
reputed, the group expressed gratitude to
President Goodluck Jonathan for giving him
the opportunity to serve Nigeria in the
capacity of Acting IG.
“It is therefore the sincere plea of the
Assembly of Benin Aborigines to all
Nigerians and officers of the Nigeria Police
Force to give maximum support and
cooperation to the new Inspector General
with a view to taking Nigeria Police Force to
enviable heights,” the group added.
