After welcoming the Holy Month of Ramadhan and wishing all Muslims a rewarding Fasting period, the Kano state governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has urged all Muslims in the state to pray harder and seek for Allah’s Divine intervention to wipe away the deadly CONVID-19 in the country and the world at large.
The Governor in a statement signed by His Chief Press Secretary, Abba Anwar, reads:
“On behalf of the government of Kano state, I am praying that, may Allah accept our worship in this Holy Month of Ramadhan. I urge people to live by the good teachings of the Holy Month, of piety, fear and love of Allah and intact keeping of brotherhood,” governor said.
He further added that people should abide by the lockdown protocol, “…as the lockdown is in place to safeguard the health of our people. By way of putting a stop to further spread of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic in the state and the nation in general. Which will naturally give way for global containment of the disease, with the help of the Creator, Allah.”
He also insists that, all advices given by health workers must be abide by for all efforts against the disease to yield positive result, adding that, “People should wash their hands regularly with soap and running water. Use of hand sanitizer is equally important, alongside maintaining social distancing.”
