Ex-TUC boss hails Buhari’s will at tackling insurgency

Former Chairman of kaduna state Trade Union Congress (TUC ) Comrade Paul Y. Jezhi, has commended President Muhammed Buhari’s bold step to end insecurity in the country within the shortest time.
Speaking to journalist in kaduna, Comrade Jezhi applauded President Buhari for giving the new Service Chiefs marching order to end insurgency, militancy, armed robbery, kidnapping and other crimes within three months.
He called on the Service Chiefs not to disappoint the confidence repose in them by President Buhari and the people of the Nigeria, they should ensure that they achieve the desire of the President.
On the delay of ministerial appointment, Comrade Jezhi advised Mr President to appoint only patriotic, decent and experienced Nigerians as ministers in his government.
“We need real patriotic Nigerians that can work very hard, knowledgeable, experience, committed Nigerians to be in charge of ministries and important parastatals (agencies)”, he added.
According to him, “President Buhari should shun those putting pressure on him to name his ministers, he should take his time to make his appointment to ensure the credibility of his cabinet members to uphold peoples’ trust.”
Also on the fight against corruption, Comrade Jezhi said “Nigerians voted for President Buhari because he pledged to installed transparency and clean up the already corrupt nation.
“We have suffered a lot in this country where you see some government officials looting billions of dollars leading to total hardship in the country. We are impressed by the way in which President Buhari is following up on his campaign promises.”
He condemned those calling for the scrapping of NYSC saying that the scheme should be improve and maintained as a functional train for the promotion of national unity and integration.
“The objective for which the scheme was established in 1973 was still very relevant for national development.” He said
