Eid-El-Fitri: SWAN President Felicitates With Nigerians

The President, Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Mr Honour Sirawoo has felicitated with Muslim faithful in Nigeria, especially Patrons and members of the association, on the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan.
The president, who stated this in Port Harcourt, urged Muslim faithful to imbibe the lessons learnt from the fasting period.
According to him, “I urge our Patrons and my colleagues to continually espouse the lessons of Ramadan including prayers and benevolence to the less privileged in the society.
“I am particularly excited at the level of co-operation, prayers and support received so far from my colleagues. We can only get better, through more prayers, in our commitment to take the association to greater height.”
He tasked them to continue to pray for the unity and success of Nigeria, particularly in the sports sector and against tendencies that could overheat the industry.
Sirawoo called on sports journalists and administrators at all levels to use the occasion to reflect on issues of love, sacrifice and unity and, bring about policies and programmes that will bear positive developments on the sports sector.
