The convener for the Actualization of Federal College of Education (FCE) Misau, Alhaji Mohammed Kaka Misau has re-echoed recent calls by some stakeholders in Bauchi on the federal government to ensure the immediate take-off of the Federal College of Education (FCE) allocated to Misau Emirate.
Alhaji Kaka who appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari not to relent on his laudable policies on education, maintained that the take-off of the institution will no doubt boost the literacy level of people at the grassroot level.
Alhaji Kaka who stated this in an interview with newsmen in Bauchi on Tuesday, said that the issue of sitation of the college in Misau is longer a problem as it was initially inclusive in the approved bill by the National Assembly as presented by the former Senator, Bauchi Central zone, Isah Hamma Misau.
Alhaji Kaka pointed out that, “what is expected now is the full take-off of academic activities of the institution, and we are believing that it will come very soon”.
“We are aware of Federal institutions that have recently taken-off, for instance in Kaltungo of Gombe state, in Daura, Katsina and many other areas and we believe that our own is in the pipeline any moment from now”, Alhaji Kaka noted.
He pointed out that Misau local government is in dire need of federal institution to give the people of the area a sense of belonging in the educational sector.
Kaka who said the people of Misau will continue to wait patiently for the take-off of the institution expressed confidence that President Muhammadu Buhari will soon order for its start.
He applauded the effort of the minister of education, Malam Adamu Adamu for his enormous contribution towards the development of education not only in Bauchi state but the country as a whole.
“The role played by the Minister of education, Malam Adamu Adamu in the allocation of the federal college of Education to Bauchi state can never go unnoticed. So, we really appreciate him.” He said.
Adding that: “and then, along the line, before the siting of the federal institution in Bauchi, our former senator Isah Hamma Misau had seriously contributed by sponsoring a bill in the Senate and had ensured that it passed all the procedures to become a law.”
“It is with full expectations that we the people of Misau LGA, central zone of Bauchi state will watch and see that this government of President Muhammadu Buhari that has made adherence to rule of law as its hallmark will speed up the take-off of the college”. Alhaji Kaka said.
He added, as soon as the the institution takes-off, it will further boost education in the area and by extension Bauchi state and at the same time creating job opportunities, economic development and many other good things in the area.
Alhaji Kaka thanked the people of Misau Emirate and their neighbouring Katagum who have good relationship for their support towards the sitation of the institution in Misau.
According to him, as several sons and daughters of Misau Emirate are all over working in government and private establishments in Katagum and other surrounding towns, the gesture would surely be reciprocated once the institution in Misau takes-off as a result of good neighbourliness.
“I want to commend our Royal highnesses, the elites, business men and women who have been contributing in many aspects to ensure that this institution has start operating and we are certain that it will soon commence.” Alhaji Kaka said.
