Clergy Urges Members to Stay Active as Women Fellowship Wins Friendly Football Match
The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Salvation Center recently organized a friendly football match between its Women Fellowship and Men Fellowship, aimed at promoting physical activity, family bonding, and community unity.
The Zonal Pastor, Pastor Emmanuel Fakioluwa, used the occasion to strongly encourage men and all members to embrace regular physical exercise as a key to productivity, health, and overall well-being.

“Exercise is not just about fitness; it is about energizing your mind, body, and spirit to perform better in your daily lives.
“I urge everyone, especially our youth, to stay active, avoid social vices, and commit to a healthy lifestyle that will secure a brighter future,” Pastor Fakioluwa said.
Bro Obaje Amidu, Leader of the Men Fellowship, emphasized the role of sports in uniting people and strengthening relationships across different backgrounds.
“Participating in physical activities like football not only builds health but also fosters teamwork, love, and unity among members,” he said.
The match was closely contested, with the Women Fellowship defeating the Men Fellowship 1–0. Their victory highlighted the growing enthusiasm for sports among women in the church and underscored the importance of teamwork and determination.
Beyond the competition, the event provided a platform for church members to bond, build friendships, and engage in wholesome recreational activities.
Pastor Fakioluwa concluded by reminding members that maintaining physical health is as important as spiritual growth.
“A healthy body nurtures a healthy mind and spirit. Let us commit to staying active and taking care of ourselves as we serve God and our community,” he said.
The RCCG Salvation Center continues to champion initiatives that promote exercise, unity, and holistic well-being among its members.
