Cattle Rustling: APC Chieftain Lauds El-Rufai’s Recovery Effort

All Progressives Congress, (APC) Chieftain, Alhaji Ali Gidado Idris has applauded Governor Nasir El-Ruffian boldness in recovering over a thousand livestock stolen by cattle rustlers at Birnin-Gwari recently.
The governor was also commended for efforts at recovering institutions and hospital lands taken over by rich politicians in the state.
He also urged Governor El-Rufai not to relent in his effort to take Kaduna out of the dearth of development ,high rate of unemployment
,educational backwardness and corruption in all government sectors.
In an interview with some Journalists at his Ungwar Sarki Office, Kaduna , Gidado said it takes a good and focused leader to take such daring steps without fear of intimidation from those who consider themselves ” the rich and powerful”.
According to him, those condemning El-Rufai over the ongoing recovery land through demolishing of houses built on school lands and other government owned land within the state are short sighted and retrogressive.
“Afterall ,the land in question does not belong to El-Rufai but the state government and schools for our future generations , so. I can’t understand the reason for kicking against taking back the land” ,he
Stressed.
On the issue of biometric verification exercise of
civil servants in the state , the APC Chieftain asserted that it is an exercise long overdue ,stressing that the corruption in civil service is quite alarming and it is only through such verification exercise that
leakages and wastages can be blocked.
While commenting on the issue of slashing down ministries from 19 to 13 and commissioner from 24 to 13 , he pointed out that no government
can save cost without reducing areas that are non functional or duplicating efforts.
Gidado who equally lauded the governor for appointing technocrats and academics to mann the ministries , said the polices of free education,
direct supply of fertiliser to farmers, indigenship to all irrespective of tribe ,religion and state as well as local government autonomy will engender sustainable unity and development in state.
He however emphasized that in making. Kaduna great again, Governor El-Rufai. must shun sycophants and political jobbers and embrace constructive criticism.
