Call Yari to Order, Northern Youths Urges President Buhari

A group, Northern Nigerian Youths Frontiers, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to call Abdul’Aziz Yari Abubakar, the immediate past governor of Zamfara State to order for his confrontational acts and sabotaging the ongoing peace efforts and reconciliation initiative of the state government with bandits.
The group in a statement jointly signed by Dr. Abubakar Salisu Taruni, Chairman, and Hon Sirajo Habib Tsafe Secretary, at the end of their annual meeting on Wednesday, asked the President to warn Yari, who after eight u destroyed almost all the sector of development due to poor governance.
“Yari’s zenith of ingratitude after destroying almost all the sectors of development on his eight years due to poor governance yet he still trying to become a stumbling blocks of peace in the region.” They said.
The group while calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to award a befitting
national honour particularly to the Zamfara state governor and those
who sacrificed their lives and energy in order to bring peace in the State.
According to them, “we are begging Mr President to put stop to some attitudes of former governor Abdul’aziz Yari and his acolytes over their alleged plans to disrupt peace and political cohesion enjoined in the state by creating political instability that will bring back enmity and hatred among political class of the state in the name of opposition. Such acts will only returns the young state and region into another chaos, fear and unleash terror among the people.”
The Association called on the federal government to urgently take proactive measures on the ongoing reconstruction work on Kaduna, Zaria, Kano expressway to reduce high rate of fatal accidents and unnecessary holdups being faced by motorists and passengers plying the
road.
The association also called on Nigerians to continue to pray and
support the federal and the state governments to ensure development in
the country.
“We commended His Excellency, Dr Bello Mohammed Matawallen Maradun, executive governor of Zamfara state over his genuine commitment and determination of bringing and implementing peace dialogue with suspected bandits and collaborative efforts in handling insecurity issue which is currently yielding positive results as banditry has seized in the state and drastically reduced other criminal activities and terror in the neighboring Sokoto, Katsina and Kaduna States.
“We are solidly behind him over his efforts of redeeming the state from terror into new leaf of peace, unity and political cohesion among all the segment of life in the state. We urged him to extend the frontiers of peace and brotherliness to all other states bordering Zamfara towards ensuring the sustainable peace, security and freedom of movement.
“We condemn in strong terms the attitudes of former Zamfara state governor, Alhaji Abdul’Aziz Yari Abubakar and his supporters for their continued confrontational acts and sabotaging the ongoing peace efforts and reconciliation initiative of the Zamfara state government with bandits.” They added.
