BREAKING NEWS! Assets Declaration: El-Rufai Allegedly Owns 40 Mansions, N90 Billion

Kaduna State governor Malam. Nasir El-Rufai has allegedly declared the sum of N90 billion and 40 houses as assets recently according to source.
Newsweb Express learnt that the governor and his deputy declared their assets some weeks after taking over the helm of affairs of the State.
The information first broke out in the wake of Wednesday July 1st when some citizens of the state at a newspaper stand were complaining of the huge amount of wealth amassed to by the governor.
They lamented that the reason why the governor doesn’t care about the welfare of the people was because he has made a lot of money to care for his family even his generation next.
Our investigation on the matter reveals that although his assets declaration was not made public but an inside information showed that the governor has made his assets declaration which can never be allowed to go to the public.
But an official of Code of Conduct Bureau in Kaduna who pleaded anonymity said the governors’ wealth is outrageous as such he cannot be quite about it even though they were warned not to speak to anybody about it. “I am a Nigerian a citizen of Kaduna for that matter so don’t expect me not to be worried about it” the source said.
Meanwhile, when a team of Journalists visited the office of the Code of Conduct Bureau in Kaduna, it was not too clear if the information is true but the body language of its State Director Mr David George could be interpreted to say it was true.
Although he resisted speaking to journalists but he later gave his attention and responded thus “the governor, his deputy and every other political office holder’s in the state have all declared their assets, but we can not give you any details about it because the law does not permit us to make it public.
“So if you want to get any information about it go to our head office in Abuja and get your details.” he said.
As at the time of filing this report, an attempt to speak with the Special Adviser on Media and Communications Muyiwa Adekeye prove abortive as he promised to get back to Journalists when he was contacted.
