Boko-haram: Senator Grant ‎Scholarship to Orphans

Senator Shehu sani has granted scholarship to orphans of a soldier
killed 2 years ago by Boko haram insurgents in  Maiduguri Borno state in an ambush.

According to the senator,representing Kaduna central, he was moved by
the facebook post by a friend of the late soldier about the neglected Children who were driven out of School due to the inability to pay the
school fees of the five Children of the deceased soldier.

Senator Sani, who visited the family of the late soldier Corporal Ibrahim Musa at Maraban Jos in Kaduna Saturday, promised to sponsor all 5 Children from primary to tertiary Institution. He also promised the Mother of the deceased
soldier an empowerment funds to trade, to enable her sustain the
Children of the deceased soldier.

While lamenting the neglect of the soldier in fighting the
insurgents he wondered why the federal government has not provided
succor for such family.

“I was moved because if it were a normal Country ,the government
would have taken up the responsibility, but you can see this family is
suffering”.

Fielding questions from news men after the visit the Senator said” the
reason for the sponsorship is to see that these Children when they
grew up, they will know that their father died for others to live and for the peace of the Country”.

Mother of the killed soldier Hajiya Rukaya thanked the Senator for coming for their rescue and prayed that God almighty should grant the Senator the enablement to fulfill his promise.

He also visited the New Nigerian Newspapers to ascertain the problems
facing the organization which had been on strike for 31 months as a
result of non payment of  staff salaries, obsolete  equipment and non funding of the organization by the Northern state governments.

Senator Shehu sani who promised to offer all necessary assistance
said, the spirit and memories of New Nigerian Newspapers which everbody in the Northern part of the Country benefited, should not be allowed to die.

He directed the NNN management to furnish him with all their requirements to commence full operation.
