Dankwambo imposes 24-hour
curfew in Gombe
Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe state on
Saturday imposed a 24-hour curfew in the state
following an attack by Boko Haram gunmen.
The directive was contained in a statement by the
Special Adviser (Media) to the governor, Ayuba
Aluke.
“Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo has directed that a
24-hour curfew be imposed on Gombe as a result of
the security breach in the city.
“By this announcement residents are to remain
indoors until further notice as security operatives
work to restore law and order in the city,” the
statement said.
