Agwatyap’s Demise, Shocking – Rep Marshal Katung
The Member, representing Zangon Kataf/Jaba Federal constituency at the chambers of the House of Representatives, Barrister Sunday Marshall Katung said he learned with deep shock but total submission to the will of God about the death of His Royal Highness, Dr. Harrison Yusuf Bungwon.
Hon. Katung in a statement also commiserated with the Atyap traditional council and the state at this moment of national mourning.
The late First Class chief aged 67 years had been on the throne since 2005.
The statement said, “He devoted his life to the progress of his people in the areas of agriculture, education and socioeconomic development of Atyap people and Kaduna State as a whole.
“The late Agwatyap was well known for his promotion of peaceful coexistence of the people irrespective of their religion and where they come from. The Chief would therefore be remembered for his wisdom, tolerance, love for peace and agricultural development in Kaduna State. The North has lost one of its respected and revered Royal fathers.
“On behalf of the constituency, I therefore commiserates with the Royal family of the Atyap traditional council, the Government and the good people of Kaduna state over the passing on of HRH Dr. Harrison Yusuf Bungwon.”
I pray that God grant the late Chief eternal peace in Heaven.
