Agom Adara’s Death: Kaduna NUJ Declares Three Days Mourning

Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kaduna state Council has declared three days mourning over the gruesome murder of the Agom Adara, Dr. Maiwada Galadima, the paramount ruler of Adara chiefdom, by unidentified heartless kidnappers.

The council in a press statement signed by the Secretary, Dauda Idris Doka says the union declared three days mourning in respect of the late paramount and peaceful leader who struggled hard for the unity and development of his community, Kaduna state and Nigeria in general.

“The last meeting our members had with Late Dr. Maiwada Galadim at his palace during the NUJ tour was still fresh in our memory and departed at the time when his services are needed most.

“The Union is appealing to state government and security agencies to double their efforts in ensuring that the peprators of this evil act are identified and brought to book.

“On behalf of all members of Nigeria Union of Journalists Kaduna state council want to use this medium to condole Kaduna State government, Kajuru and Kachia LGAs, Adara Chiefdom and his family over the irreplaceable loss.” The statement said.

While condemning the act, the NUJ, also appealed for peaceful coexistence among the followers of Islam and Christianity for the peace, unity and development of Kaduna state.
